- Civility - As writers, we have come together to create and enjoy a space to write together, and as such I personally expect that all those who have agreed to join together in our enterprise treat each other with a modicum of respect. You are all adults, act like it. I shouldn’t have to spell out what constitutes civility. I will not tolerate exclusionary attitudes, cliquism, he-said she-said, or demands to action. I, and the staff, will act when there is a legitimate violation of what is commonly accepted as being an adult. Which segues nicely into the next point:
- Freedom - Understand that one of our core principles on the Constructs is Freedom, and in such you are free to hold whatever opinion - be it political, social, religious or otherwise - and to express it. This does not mean that you have freedom from the reaction of your peers to your opinion. To put it succinctly, you have the freedom to be an idiot, within legal bounds. You are not free from the consequences of being an idiot. Staff will never take action against a member for their opinion, however unpopular it may be.
- Plagiarism - What is not covered under Freedom is the act of plagiarism. Plagiarism of another author’s or artist’s work and claiming that it is your sole work will not be tolerated in any circumstances. When possible, credit art - but so long as you acknowledge it is not yours, no action will be taken, we simply prefer that you credit those responsible.
- No Spamming - Only post where appropriate, and in IC sections please try to avoid double-posts. In sections like Forum Games, or the Art sections, feel free as the situation demands.
- Enjoy Yourself - Seriously, it’s why you’re here, right?
